„Groovy!“ – dieses Tuch

Ich glaube, das ist eines meiner ersten Tücher überhaupt, die ich jemals gestrickt habe. Den ein oder anderen Schal zwischendrin hat es schonmal gegeben, aber Tücher…. da fällt mir spontan der dreieckige Schal/Loop aus Mohair ein, den ich mal gemacht habe, ansonsten herrscht in dieser Kategorie eindeutig bisher Flaute.

Wie es der Zufall will, kam ich dann letztens doch in Versuchung für ein eigenes Tuch. Eine Kollegin in meinem Büro wusste, dass ich desöfteren mal etwas stricke und wollte sich selbst an ein Projekt machen. Sie hatte ein paar Fragen zur Anleitung und zur Woll-Auswahl und ich half ihr gerne mit einem Rat weiter. Sie zeigte mir die Anleitung für das geplante Tuch – „groovy“ und irgendwie fand ich es ganz schick. Wir diskutierten ein bisschen über Farbverläufe und Garndicke und dann fiel mir ein, dass ich doch zu Hause auch noch das ein oder andere Wollbonbon (also ein Farbverlaufsgarn) herumliegen hatte. „Ach scheiß drauf, schlag ich halt auch einfach dieses Tuch an!“ dachte ich mir. Und schon steckte ich mitten in einem neuen Strickprojekt.

Ich wählte das Verlaufsgarn von weiß hin zu dunkelgrau. Es ist ja nicht so einfach bei Schals oder Tüchern. Denn man wird die guten Stücke am Ende immer zu anderen Klamotten ergänzen müssen. Da kann ich wohl schlecht lila nehmen, wenn meine gesamte Garderobe sich mit lila nicht verträgt. Deshalb also ein neutrales weiß/grau.

Das Muster ist einfach zu verfolgen und bereits nach einer Wiederholung hat man es verinnerlicht. Ich habe schnell gute Fortschritte in der Fertigstellung gemacht und konnte mich kurz darauf an einem neuen Schal erfreuen.

I guess, this is one of the very first shawles, I knitted ever. In this triangular shape, I can remember only one project made of Mohair in dark grey, but that’s all I did before in this clothes-category.

It was not planned to do this project, it was much more an accident. A colleague in my office knew, that I am a knitting-addict and she wanted to do a project for herself. She had some questions to the pattern and the choice of yarn. It was a pleasure for me, that I could be helpful with my advise. And when she showed me the pattern, I really liked it and could imagine to do one of my one. We discussed several days about different colors and gradients and yarn thickness and while we talked about all these things, I remembered to have some Wollbonbons (a gradient yarn) at home already in my stash.

Without hesitation I casted on a new project!

I chose the gradient yarn from white to dark grey. Regarding to shawls I found it not so easy to make a color choice, because it has always to fit with other colors of your wearing clothes. So I cannot choose purple if my wardrobe doesn’t even match with one piece in purple at all.

The pattern is easy to follow and already one repetition later, you don’t even need the pattern any longer. I made very fast progress and short after I was a proud owner of a new gradient triangular shawl.
